This is when my issues started. Download full Nasomi and Install as normal. None have worked except the PS4 controller. No keys are bound to L2. This happens on both an old and a brand new controller. But plugged in with a wire works fine. DS4Windows is a portable program that allows you to get the best experience while using a DualShock 4 on your PC. By emulating a Xbox 360 controller, many more games are accessible. Also, setting configuration to hold, mixed, or toggle does not fix the issue. That controller eventually wore completely out and I bought a new one. Just connect the controller via bluetooth or USB without any kind of mapper/driver program and the game will recognise it fine. No third party tools. This also might be obvious for some people who use this program regularly. I use an PS4 controller with FFXI. Just spent many hours getting my PS4 wireless controller to work properly with Nasomi ffxi and DS4windows, this wont deal with any in game controller lag etc just getting it to work. The Logitech G903 Lightspeed is a $115 mouse and was released as ground breaking a year ago it has 1ms of lag, the ps4 and xb 1 controllers were made 5 years ago. At first I installed Nasomi used the default setup for the gamepad config and everything worked fine. I had to open FFXI config, enable the gamepad, and then tell it to use one of the default options. I'm running windows 10 using a PS4 controller plugged into a USB port. Then FFXI Config would set almost all the buttons like I wanted using the Default (D) preset. If using a DS4 (PS4 controller) I had issues where the game wouldn't see the controller, but here's how to fix it: Close DS4windows/Input mapper entirely. Use your PS4 Controller on your PC to its full potential. 2. One issue I did have was I couldn't get it to sync properly with bluetooth. Then the next day when I loaded up the game my controller wasn't working. I am not confusing this with L1, the walk/run toggle. Even if you have no intentions of playing on a sofa, I recommend anyone who has a desire to try the game with a controller to give it a spin. I have tried PS4 wired (and wireless with the adapter), XBox One wired (and with the adapter), PS3 wired and also XBox 360 wired for windows controllers. The trackpad will also function as a button and as a mouse, just like the PS4, and the only thing missing is that no audio is played to the controller's speaker. Either tapping or holding the L2 results in walking, thereby interrupting casting on actions tied to the left crossbar. However in ffxi that amount of lag is not a problem, it still is 1/5th of a second but its not like your trying to play a FPS. Sometimes I would launch the game and the controller would not respond at all, and I would have to go back through control panel to that properties panel and confirm Windows was seeing the buttons, than alt-tab back to the game and it would be working again. Instructions: 1. Resetting the controllers does not fix the issue.
