When I got it I decided to use it and when I first squeezed it out of the bottle, the smell of the product I didn't really like it has a stinky smell to it and it's kind of a gross smell and it makes your hair smell gross unless you had another type of good smelling moisturizer to it but it does moisturize your hair but it's not that great of a detangler because my hair is long and thick and it doesn't even detangle my hair all that well and my hair is still frizzy after using this stuff too.
